Abstract Presentation Unlike oncology and inflammatory disease, the treatment of neurological disorders has not yet greatly benefitted from the advent of therapeutic antibodies. In view of the high medical need for specific drugs to treat neurological disorders and the resulting large commercial opportunity, the pharma and biotech industry have made large investments to overcome the many hurdles related to the use of biologicals versus small molecules in this field. In particular, recent developments in antibody-based treatments for large indications like Alzheimer’s disease and pain have the potential to make a big impact on the industry. |
